Hi All!
Happy April (to you!) 🙂 It’s time to keep the swing into spring! Ended March with a couple awesome distance urban adventures completing over 50 miles in two days! Not much elevation involved but lots of fantastic sights along the way.
The first event for April will be the second endurance event for the year, which is the Silver Moon 24 hour. The goal for this event will be 100k with a secondary goal of a longest distance in a 24 hour event (65 miles) and if possible (I will need to be at 85 miles within the 24 hour window) as close to 100 mile as possible within a 30 hour time frame if I decide to upgrade to the 100 mile event. It looks like it will be shaping up to be a warm weekend witch means a good opportunity to get some heat acclimation and planning for the Javalina 100 event in October.
Lastly I have finally found a way to get a pic carousel which means I can show some of the pics from various events. The pictures will updated as events are completed. These pics may also wind up in the yearly highlight video, The latest batch include pics from the Urban adventure and Oakland Marathon
As previously mentioned, (like anyone ever looks at this site – LOL!) there are now two calendars to the right. The top calendars are for the events that are nailed down and/or registration has been completed. The second is an informational calendar for options that I may register or save for a later year. If the event in the lower calendar is green chances are I will be signing up soon and has a 85%+ chance of getting migrated as an event.
Now that the new year has been set in motion with an epic accomplishment I plan on keeping it going and making it another super adventurous and record setting year! This includes an entry to the 🍀 Ireland Marathon!! 🍀🎉 As I’ve mentioned on previous revisions of this page the list of upcoming plans can be found on JB’s Fun tracker for 2026
Hopefully I can maintain my conditioning in order to accomplish a full year of even more amazing adventures! Don’t miss the new and exiting ongoing possibilities by checking the Crazy Hike List to see what’s been added and scheduled (hopefully I’ll get a chance to get back to this).
Training still remains tricky due to ongoing home care but getting a bit better 🙂
