Hi All!
Happy April (to you!) 🙂 It’s time to keep the swing into spring! Ended March with a couple awesome distance urban adventures completing over 50 miles in two days! Not much elevation involved but lots of fantastic sights along the way.
The first event for April was the Silver Moon 24 hour and second endurance event for the year. The goal for this event will be 100k with a secondary goal of a longest distance in a 24 hour event (65 miles). Both goals were achieved!! 🎉 I was able to extend my longest 24h distance by 5 miles. The weather was toasty during the day and chilly at night/early am. Sunday felt like it got up around 90 degrees. I got so warm I took a break and headed over to a Fosters Freeze for a large milkshake!! 😂 It definitely was good heat acclimation training and planning for the Javalina 100 event in October. Since the event happened over Easter I also had my ears on 😉
Here are a few pics from the event:
As previously noted, (like anyone ever looks at this site – LOL!) there are now two calendars to the right. The top calendars are for the events that are nailed down and/or registration has been completed. The second is an informational calendar for options that I may register or save for a later year. If the event in the lower calendar is green chances are I will be signing up soon and has a 85%+ chance of getting migrated as an event.
Now that the new year has been set in motion with an epic accomplishment I plan on keeping it going and making it another super adventurous and record setting year! This includes an entry to the 🍀 Ireland Marathon!! 🍀🎉 As I’ve mentioned on previous revisions of this page the list of upcoming plans can be found on JB’s Fun tracker for 2026
Hopefully I can maintain my conditioning in order to accomplish a full year of even more amazing adventures! Don’t miss the new and exiting ongoing possibilities by checking the Crazy Hike List to see what’s been added and scheduled (hopefully I’ll get a chance to get back to this).
Training still remains tricky due to ongoing home care but getting a bit better 🙂
If you haven’ t had a chance to look at the highlights have a look at 2025 Activities Highlight Video which is also available on Youtube!
You can also check out the all video highlights, stats and adventures from all years past!
