Hi All!

Looks like it’s Nopevember… The Dark Ages are once again upon us!!

Not only is the time change starting along with the the days getting shorter than the nights, but there is also (still) ongoing blatant disruption from specific family members (the drama continues – details on that BS).  An incredible amount of activities that I was able to do are now on the nope list. There is some good news, I actually got a lottery pick from one of the four I submitted. Sydney, Tokyo, and Berlin were nope, but Dublin was selected!! 🍀🎉. The adventure for the Tulsa Route 66 Marathon was also a fantastic experience, I had forgotten what most of the course looked like which was a bit surprising since it’s so pretty. The weather was much colder on the last round so I may have been a bit distracted on that. The goal for the event was to beat my 2022 time, the result was my 3rd fastest marathon time (missing #2 by less than 1 minute). Going to see if I can carve out some weekday hours for Nov/Dec to train up for the NYE/NYD Ultra. Anything I can get at this point would help.

Being recently sidelined due to the home care and drama does provide plenty of opportunity to get myself motivated for the future when I will be able to ramp back up to my usual level of activity. I have used this opportunity to plan out some of what next years shenanigans will look like. With that being revealed, I now have a preview list for JB’s Fun Tracker for 2026 !!

What’s Next?

  • For the tech stuff the church-of-miles site will be coming out at some point. Plans are to hook it up to a social media page and get some yatra events going! 🙂
  • Also plans on giving the main site for basswake.net some overdue attention
